Kostiuk Graduates From Inaugural CREW Leadership Program

On November 1, 2022, HAWK Director of Marketing and Business Development Kathleen Kostiuk, CPSM, graduated in the inaugural class of the CREW Greater Philadelphia 2022 Leadership Program. The Leadership Program consisted of four facilitated learning sessions scheduled between March and November 2022, along with networking and concluding events and a graduation ceremony. The program was designed to support and expand the leadership skills of women in Philadelphia’s commercial real estate community.

“My biggest takeaway from the program was how to be an effective communicator,” Kostiuk explained. “In my opinion, a leader is only as good as their ability to communicate to achieve desired outcomes. Learning how to identify different styles of communication and then employing an approach for successful engagement is key.”

The four sessions included Definition of Leadership, which highlighted stories of success, risk, and failure from other industry leaders; Communication, which offered techniques for presenting and communicating in person and online; Self-Awareness, which demonstrated how to use Predictive Index behavioral assessment to explore correlations between behaviors and workplace outcomes; and Team Building & Motivation, which connected all of the earlier sessions with ideas for planning and implementing learning outcomes.
