[Mount Laurel, NJ] As owner’s representative to Rutgers University, GREYHAWK announces the Rutgers-Camden new Nursing and Science Building was named a 2017 New Jersey’s Leading Infrastructure Project by the New Jersey Alliance for Action. The award was presented Friday, 10 February 2017 at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township.
“Rutgers University’s Camden Nursing and Science Building project is a great example of what can be done when organizations work as a team to develop a fantastic project,” said Philip K. Beachem, President, New Jersey Alliance for Action.
The Leading Infrastructure Projects award program was created to highlight innovative, pioneering and landmark construction initiatives that greatly impact the state’s economy and to honor the businesses and organizations that work together as partners to ensure the project’s success. The Nursing and Science Building was one of 19 projects honored by the Alliance for Action in 2017.
When completed in spring 2017, the 100,000-square-foot Nursing and Science Building will serve more than 1,000 students in the Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden and will also support students in the Rutgers-Camden’s Ph.D. in computational and integrative biology and doctor of nursing practice (DNP) programs. The facility will include classrooms, computer labs, conference rooms, lecture halls, student work and study stations, administrative offices, lounges, food services, and an auditorium.
The $62.5 million project is being financed, in part, by proceeds from the Building Our Future Bond Act, a $750 million loan and grant program approved by New Jersey voters in a 2012 ballot referendum. The GREYHAWK scope of owner’s representation includes pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phase services.
