GREYHAWK provides retro-commissioning, re-commissioning, and ongoing commissioning for existing buildings. Our services reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions and improve occupant comfort.
Retro-commissioning involves commissioning facilities that have never been commissioned. Often, original design documents are unavailable, requiring us to complete a forensic study of the building systems. The process typically focuses on energy usage via mechanical equipment, lighting, and controls with the goal of improving building systems efficiency, obtaining energy cost savings, identifying and correcting problems, and using diagnostic testing for operations and maintenance tune-ups.
Re-commissioning re-applies the commissioning process to previously commissioned buildings using baseline performance metrics established by the initial commissioning process. Commissioned systems should be re-tested on a regular basis. We typically expect a 10-12-month review has been performed to assess system operational goals are being achieved.
