GREYHAWK provided owner’s representative project management services, from design through construction, for a 16,000-sf expansion and 2,150-sf renovation to Gettysburg Montessori Charter School, a K-6 public charter school in Pennsylvania.
The existing facility within a renovated former church only provided enough space for administrative areas, a multipurpose room, and rooms for special activities. Prior to the addition, all classrooms were located in an adjacent modular building. The addition enabled all school activities to be consolidated into one cohesive structure with 11 classrooms, an art room, a library, and new student restrooms. The renovation transformed the existing multipurpose room into a dual-function music room and performance space, and updated administrative areas and the teachers’ lounge for enhanced use. A new courtyard with a natural playscape provides space for outdoor learning and play. DIGSAU provided architectural design.
GREYHAWK performed a comprehensive suite of services for the $4.1 million project beginning with design review and constructability analysis, and encompassing bid cycle and preconstruction services, construction administration and management, move management, and project closeout. The project was completed in time for the 2021-2022 school year.
