GREYHAWK provided full construction management and commissioning services to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority for a new four-story high school that accommodates 1,091 students in grades 9-12. Located in a busy urban center near historic buildings, residences, and a park, the school features standard and specialized classrooms; resource rooms and facilities for photography, CAD, engineering and robotics, international marketing, law and forensic science, computer science, art, and music; health and fitness suite and gym with lockers and showers; auditorium; cafeteria with full-service kitchen; media center; career resource center; teacher workrooms; nurse’s suite; and administrative offices.
GREYHAWK’s construction phase services included daily on-site monitoring of all construction activities, tracking the design-builder’s daily manpower, baseline schedule, monthly schedule updates, and monthly payment applications, and chairing progress meetings. GREYHAWK also provided monthly progress reports to NJSDA indicating areas of concern. Following construction, GREYHAWK scheduled furniture deliveries and placement, resolved open issues, confirmed punch list completion, confirmed acceptance of all required project closeout documentation and scheduling, and attended a post occupancy 11-month project walk-through review. GREYHAWK also performed enhanced commissioning during design, construction, and close-out phases in accordance with LEED Silver Certification compliance standards. Commissioned systems included all primary HVAC equipment and 20 percent of the terminal units, building automation system (BAS), domestic hot water, lighting controls, and building envelope.
