GREYHAWK provided construction claims consulting on behalf of the joint-venture construction manager of Citizens Bank Park. Built as home to MLB’s Philadelphia Phillies, the 43,500-seat venue’s complex construction included 11,800 pieces of structural steel. Late and deficient concrete work and delays in steel erection delayed the project by months, necessitating the acceleration and/or compressed schedules of many following trades and subsequent impact claims by many subcontractors.
GREYHAWK analyzed performance of the steel and concrete subcontractors and determined the cause of delays and the resulting impacts on remaining work. GREYHAWK also investigated counter claims from the subcontractors and claims from all affected follow-on trades. Litigation support services included expert reports, delay analysis, issue investigation, demonstrative evidence preparation, deposition and negotiation assistance, and expert testimony. GREYHAWK’s efforts and findings formed the basis for negotiated settlements with many of the subcontractors and arbitration proceedings with the concrete subcontractor.
