On September 28, GREYHAWK attended the official dedication of the $164 million state-of-the-art renovated high school in Elizabeth, N.J. The 183,000-SF school will serve 1,280 students in grades nine through 12.
Elizabeth High School was renamed Frank J. Cicarell Academy in honor of Cicarell’s 55 years of service to Elizabeth Public Schools. Superintendent Olga Hugelmeyer said at the dedication, “It is very fitting this outstanding facility, borne of such tireless effort and resolve, is named in honor of Mr. Cicarell, a man who was so passionately committed to the Elizabeth community.”
GREYHAWK provided construction management through two phases of site work and new construction, delivering the school on time and on budget. Patock Construction Company, Inc., of Tinton Falls, N.J. was the general contractor. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Architects of New York was the architect of record.
