Cloverdale Farms and Lochiel Creek Parks

GREYHAWK provided construction management services for improvements to Cloverdale Farms Park and Lochiel Creek Park in Barnegat Township. GREYHAWK oversaw two general contractors working under two separate contracts, coordinated activities of all participating parties and outside agencies, chaired progress meetings, coordinated schedules, monitored progress, reviewed payment applications, and managed the RFI and change order process.

Cloverdale Farms Park is an 80-acre historically significant cranberry farm. Damaged by arson, the main farm was replicated in-kind under the scope of the project with modern plumbing and electrical service for use as a visitor’s center, park office and learning center. Additional scope included conversion of a former residential structure into a comfort state with modern utilities and complete septic system installation; new maintenance building; ecologically friendly sitework and hardscape including parking, sidewalks, and ADA-compliance access; and cranberry bog improvements and sluice gate replacement.

Lochiel Creek Park is a 40-acre new park comprised of freshwater wetlands and pine oak forested uplands. The project scope involved clearing and constructing new sand trails; leveling and grooming existing trails; constructing a new ecologically friendly driveway, ADA accessible parking facilities, and an ADA compliant stone dust trail; and adding a self-composting restroom.
