GREYHAWK was hired by Union City School District to provide commissioning services for the addition and renovation of the existing Hudson Elementary School building. The project consisted of a full renovation to the four-story 31,152 square-foot existing school and new two-story 12,491 square-foot additions. The existing school consisted of office and classroom spaces and the addition consisted of new bathroom facilities, multipurpose room and kitchen.

GREYHAWK’s scope for this LEED Silver project included both basic commissioning and enhanced commissioning to satisfy LEED requirements in addition to electrical (normal and emergency) commissioning. Our detailed scope included, designing stage commissioning reviews, reviewing the owner’s project requirements and basis of design, submittal for the review of commissioning scope equipment/systems, HVAC primary system commissioning, HVAC terminal equipment commissioning 20%, building automation systems commissioning, normal and emergency electrical system commissioning, domestic hot water system commissioning, a 10 month occupancy review, as well as training verification.
