    The project consisted of the construction of a new 185,000 square-foot, four-story high school building. The building is designed to accommodate 1,091 students in grades nine through 12 in three separate learning academies of 300 students each.

    The school is situated in a busy urban center which is directly adjacent to City Hall and surrounded by historic buildings, a residential neighborhood, and a park. Its functional components consist of general classrooms, specialized instructional rooms, technology rooms, art rooms, music rooms, science labs, a cafeteria, gymnasium and media center. The project also included an administrative office suite, nurse’s office suite and support facilities.

    GREYHAWK was retained by the NJSDA to provide full-service construction management and commissioning services for the New Elizabeth Academic High School. GREYHAWK provided bid and award, constructability reviews, construction oversight and post-construction services in the management of this project. GREYHAWK also provided scheduling and cost estimating services.
