The vacant Vine Street School Building (circa 1890) was transformed into the new home for the County Prosecutor’s office. The new 30,000-square-foot, two-story facility is complemented by a 300-car parking garage constructed in the adjacent parking area.

The project required the structural stabilization of the school building including roof replacement (slate roof), door replacement, garage entrance removal, window replacement/repair, masonry repair and dehumidification/ventilation. Hazardous materials abatement throughout the building was included as part of the project.

The adaptive re-use renovation of the building has been approved by New Jersey Historic Preservation Office.

GREYHAWK pre-construction phase involvement focused on development and adherence to budget, participation in meetings, professional objective advice and representation, quality construction documents, logistics planning, design review for constructability, as well as guidance throughout the bid and award process.

During the construction phase, GREYHAWK was actively involved in the field providing oversight, attending project meetings, maintaining the project budget, dealing with sensitive issues and working with the design and construction team to ensure that key cost and schedule issues are maintained.
